I am Nicolas Angel, I currently reside in the sunny state of Arizona. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelors in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science in fall of 2019.
After college, my dream was to work in the medical field. I took up a position in the start of 2020 as a behavioral health technician at Banner Health. Everybody knows what happened then. About two months in my career, COVID hit Arizona and I volunteered to be apart of the crew to help around the hospital. After a year or so, I was enrolled in nursing school to climb the ranks, but I also felt like I wasn't fulfilling my career goals as much as I wanted to.
I started looking into other fields that I had interests in. Growing up, I saw the development of going to flip phones to the first smart phones, Game boy’s to the Xbox 360, classrooms going from in person to online. I liked getting my hands on the latest and greatest tech that would come out and be in awe of what people were able to do with it. Seeing all the developments in technology first hand inspired me to join the field and try my hand on new and exciting projects. I am now pursuing a career as a software engineer through General Assembly.
